Looking at Istanbul from above.

Istanbul, a grand city, an ancient city, a historical, strategic, beloved, and intriguing place—a city whose soil is said to be as valuable as gold. I gazed upon the magnificent Istanbul from above…

Behind the beauty lies chaos, and where chaos stands, beauty hides. On one side, piles of disorder, and in another corner, splendors. I couldn’t tell which was chaos, which was clutter, and which was ruins. And who is to say what beauty is to one, might not be a burden to another.

The cover photo of mine was awarded an exhibition prize in the Istanbul Chamber of Architects’ photography competition.
